This weekend, Wisp Resort turned on their snow making equipment and began the process of preparing for the 2010/2011 ski season. By this morning the mountain was covered in a layer of snow. The resort hasn’t opened just yet, but this is a great time to start thinking about your ski vacation. We have a wide selection of properties that are conveniently located to the slopes including ski-in/ski-out properties. Need a better idea of where a home is located? Use our interactive property map that shows the exact location of the home in relation to the slopes. Need a quick weekend ski getaway, but don’t feel like renting a home? The Lodges at Sunset Village are our luxury log cabin hotel suites which are perfect for quick skitrips – less than 5 minutes from the slopes. Some cabins even offer outdoor hot tubs for a relaxing dip after a day of skiing. Each cabin features a gas fireplace, kitchenette and designer furnishings. Fall is right around the corner – and the question on your mind might be “What does it look like up there right now?” We’ll try to do this regularly, or as conditions change. Right now – smaller trees under the main forest canopy are starting to show bright colors. The larger trees that make up the canopy are currently dull green with a some scattered color.
