Magic is alive at Cochran’s Cabin! Experience the lake in an atmosphere only an authentic cabin can provide!
This original Deep Creek log cabin has been thoroughly upgraded with modern amenities, yet maintains an old-world charm and simple simplicity that is apparent in every nook and cranny.
Cochran’s Cabin makes an ideal mountain-lake getaway for a romantic couple or families with children as the home is equipped with private bedrooms for adults and a fun bunk bed room for children.
A quick word of warning: the kids may fight over who get the “Harry Potter bed” under the stairs- you may need to assign shifts!
The charming interior of this cozy cabin features a great room and lower level family room, three bedrooms, natural wood accents, and a wood-burning stove and fireplace.
Upstairs, be sure to check out the upper level master bathroom; the red cast-iron tub is a great vintage piece that actually originated with the home! Even with it’s antique-status, this tub is in great shape and is a perfect place to soak following a day on the lake.
Step outside to enjoy the beautiful lakefront from your private dock or stone patio. Relax around the fire pit and take in the stunning sunset view– this home features one of the best vantages on the lake! This log home offers privacy and seclusion, yet is located close to restaurants, shops, skiing, and other lake activities.
This original Deep Creek Lake cabin was constructed in the 1930 with American chestnut and oak throughout. The original design featured two separate buildings with the home’s sleeping quarters removed from the shared living spaces. The two cabins were connected in the 1940s to form the current structure. Throughout the years, this charming cabin has only had three sets of owners; the love and care each owner devoted to the house is readily apparent in the quality and upkeep of the property. This home has been maintained with great care– and it shows!
This home recently completed extensive renovations throughout, including an expanded and upgraded kitchen to help meet the needs of modern vacationers. Even with these upgrades, the owners were able to ensure that the “cabin-feel” was maintained by repurposing wood from the cabin to use in the kitchen’s design. The owners were even able to include a vintage doorknob recently found in the basement of the home for additional retro-flair!
