Deep Creek Lake State Park
This popular state park boasts one mile of shoreline along Deep Creek Lake where visitors can take part in fishing, swimming and launch their boat. The sandy beach is perfect for familiies who want to swim and the picnic area makes it easy to spend all day. This park has many hiking trails ranging in difficulty. Bring the kids to the Discovery Center for hands-on fun for the whole family.
Pets are allowed in day-use areas and lake (except for sandy portion of swimming beach area) after Labor Day to Memorial Day weekend.

Main gate is closed during snowmobile season (Dec. 15 – March 15).
From Rt. 219, travel to the Glendale Road intersection (Stoplight). Turn onto Glendale Road. Continue on Glendale Road for one mile, crossing over the Glendale Bridge. Immediately after crossing the Glendale Bridge, turn left onto State Park Road. Continue on State Park Road for one mile until you see the information sign for the state park facilities.
