Lake Access doesn’t get any closer than at Wakes & Flakes! You’ll love the quick and easy walk down to the community lakefront and your community dock slip. Whether you have rented a boat, are swimming off the dock, or are more of a dip-your-toes-in-the-water kind of person, the community dock at Hartwood Village is the perfect place to enjoy the water. Plus, the home’s central location puts you within close driving distance of all your favorite lake activities, including Wisp Resort and more! The inside of this home boasts a modern design with a rustic feel, perfect for embracing the Deep Creek Lake atmosphere. Larger than it looks, this home contains five spacious bedrooms and a multitude of entertaining spaces, comfortably hosting a large group of family or friends!

This property comes with community lake access and community docks. Please use dock slip labeled with the unit number. Please note that docks are only guaranteed from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

This home comes with free access to the Community Aquatic Recreation Center (CARC)! This fitness and wellness complex, located in the central Deep Creek Lake area, offers a modern gym and a full-size indoor pool. The free CARC membership is available to all guests in the home for the duration of your stay, up to the home’s full occupancy.

Super convenient location and very close to Wisp. Clean and as described. Only thing we didn’t like is that for an 11 person rental there are only two parking spots by the house. Otherwise a great stay!

Property was conveniently located to Wisp resort and all Restaurants/Shops. The unit was clean and well stocked. We all had a great time! Please note property sits on a hill so 4WD vehicle is necessary when snow/ice is present. Our 4WD vehicle did just fine.

Hair in the shower, Chairs were filthy. Carpets filty.... Lots of marks on the walls and ceiling. I would not stay there again. I didn't contact the property manager.

Overall, nice place to stay with family. I wish more things in the area were open the week of thanksgiving. I would definitely consider staying there again but probably not during the thanksgiving week.

This house was perfect for our extended families stay during our daughters wedding weekend. 10 people, ages 16 and up stayed very comfortably. Beds were super comfy and everyone slept well. House was the perfect location with easy access to all DCL has to offer. Super convenient Tesla Charging station just 300ft away!! Heating and air conditioning kept the house very comfortable for everyones tastes. Enjoyed sitting outside on the deck for morning coffee and late nite drinks. the parking lot is slanted and somewhat difficult for an elderly person to walk on and no handrail on the staircase leading from bottom to main floor, just an observation. Wonderful stay, highly recommend!!

The dock is a short walk across the parking lot. Listed amenities of gym and pool are a drive away, but nice facilities. Plenty of space and nice sized rooms.

Great place for a getaway. Plenty of space. Furniture is comfortable. Some signs of wear and tear throughout but didn’t bother us, it’s a rental. Steps could be a problem for seniors, no banisters, but once on the main floor, all is well. Our group of 10 like to drink responsibly. So having the Black Bear and Pine Bar directly across the street, walking distance , worked well for our group. Only having 2 parking spots on site could be problematic with a large group but there is overflow down the road. And if it’s icy, ALL of the paved lot is on a slant. Be prepared for awkward parking. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well-described on the listing. Big bathrooms, clean, towels, and hot water worked well. Beds were very clean, nothing fancy, pillows medium, and lots of extra blankets. This is a great unit. I would definitely rent it again.

1. The place was full of cobwebs and dust , it seemed like the place sat empty and was just opened for the season, cobwebs on the walls , couches and ceilings, the window sills are full of dust and bugs. 2. The basement reeked of pet odor , for a non pet facility it certainly had a strong pet smell in the basement. 3.Master bedroom shower has a drain that is completely plugged with hair and all kinds of nasty things.. I tried to get some of it cleaned out but there is way too much in there , my first shower I ended up standing in 3-4 inches of water. 4.The same master bath had a terrible odor around the toilet area, reminded us of a smell of cat urine. 5.It looked like someone did some drywall patching and then sanded the wall leaving all the drywall dust on the baseboards and floor. 6. I tried to fix the sliding screen door on the front slider, it kept binding up and then falling off the track when I tried to move it side to side. This could be a nice place, it just seems like it’s been left go with little to no upkeep, seems a bit beat up inside, of course I’m a bit partial since I’m in the construction industry, either way , there’s no reason the place shouldn’t be clean even if it’s dated or a bit worn out.

The home was very hot due to air conditioning in one room, but the location and the home overall was great.

We're sorry to hear that your stay was not thoroughly enjoyable due to the heat, Allena! Though Hartwood Village #1 does have partial A/C, as you mentioned, we do understand that a fully air-conditioned home is non-negotiable for some of our guests. Conveniently located to restaurants, kids activities, dock & lake. Unfortunately, it was a very hot week and the home had only 1 window unit which did little to cool the whole house.
