Beautiful home in an excellent location for all our activities. We loved relaxing on the spacious deck. The large dining table was a perfect gathering spot for meals, games and conversation. One problem was quickly resolved by the Railey staff. We would rent it again!

Good location! Hot tub was not usable - one of the amenities we were looking forward to. Quiet, cozy neighborhood - close to everything. Good views, nice game room, overall, a good stay.

The house is spacious and extremely well-equipped. We had a group of 14 people and cooked for everyone, they had everything we needed! We went on winter so I can't speak for the summer activities, but for the time of the year, it was close to the parks, secluded yet with access to stores if you need something quick. Good value and an excellent place for a large group.

This house is amazing with a nice overlook of the lake with an awesome fire pit on the side to enjoy with family & friends. The only thing was the mattress was uncomfortable and the hot tub was dirty. I’m sure once those things are replaced this house can be 5 stars.

Beautiful house, amazing scenery! You will find everything you need there. The only thing is that there is a road in between the lake and the house, so if you bring a canoe, kayak, etc. you will need to haul it down a very steep hill, cross a street , and then there should be an access that we didn’t find . We found the house very clean and tidy! (Reviewed on Airbnb)

Hi Simona, thanks so much for the review! If you should decide to visit again, the lake access for this house is located to the right when you're exiting the community, down a gravel-ish road. I think you should be able to have someone take a vehicle down to unload a canoe/kayak, so long as they took the vehicle back up after you were through unloading. So sorry that wasn't apparent, we'll see if we can add those instructions in a more apparent area! Happy to hear you otherwise enjoyed your stay. The pros of this house is it is spacious, it's in a good location. Fun pool table. The cons are the hot tub was undesirable due to its under the deck so their is a bunch of bugs, dirt etc. Dropping on your head. The other con is the mattress in the master bedroom was awful. It was a beautiful house but I was disappointed in mattress and hot tub. It is a beautiful home but as with any home it needs a few tweaks. But if your with the ones you love it all works out!

Overall Great Expectations was an awesome house for a large family to stay in. plenty of rooms and amenities. Our only gripes were the beds need to be replaced, none of them were exceptionally comfortable and the one in the upstairs master bedroom creaked with every move you made on it. Also the hot tub needed to be cleaned twice before we could use it and the hot tub area should be cleaned more often as it has bird droppings all over the cover. The rest of the house was perfect, and we enjoyes every minute of our stay there!

Because every person prefers a different type of mattress, it can be difficult to find a solution that is perfect for each guest. Nice home...but while walking on the main level the flooring makes loud noise for people in the basement and the main level has crawling black ants

Beautiful, spacious cabin

This cabin looks even better in person than it did in the pictures! It also comes stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, games, and books. There was tons of space for my group of 7 to either all be together, or spread out. The couches and beds were a mix of very comfortable to not comfortable. The mattress in the master suite definitely needs to be replaced, but the master suite itself is fantastic! The porches and hot tub area overlook the woods, and feel private. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this cabin!

Plenty of room for the family. Open concept making meal prep easy. Nice grill and deck. Great location!

Great house for a group! 5 bathrooms made it so that each room essentially had their own bathroom. Everything was very well kept and the location was great...right near the marina where we rented a boat.

Very nice home with all the basics and plus! 9 people stayed very comfortably, sofa beds not great but otherwise perfect stay.

This house has everything except a good fire pit area. It was just kind of on the side of the hill. Otherwise perfect house!

I love coming to the lake. My group and I have been visiting for the last 5 years and plan to come for as long as we are able. It is looked forward to by our group. We get a different house every year and have always been satisfied to the utmost with our accommodations. We love the lake and the service of Railey.

The flooring on the main floor is beautiful but makes a lot of noise for those sleeping in the basement. Not sure that there is a fix for this. Great Expectations looks better then the pictures. It is a very nice house with plenty of rooms and areas to sit and relax. The decks are great and the screened in porch area is an added bonus for those that like to sit outside and read with out the bugs. The location of this home is very nice and quiet area of the lake.

We booked this house for the Holidays. Checked in on 12/25/18. To be honest the house is lovely. It was a bit smaller than what we imagined. The pictures make it look huge. But that did not take away from our experience. There were enough rooms and beds to fit everyone. The wood structures inside the house made it feel as if we were in a cabin for sure. The master suite was beautiful with a balcony which included a magnificent view. We used the Hot tub even with frigid temperatures and it was lovely, only thing is they need to put a light above it or near it. We had family members who fell on ice as they were exiting the hotel since they couldn't see. Luckily no one was hurt too bad.

I'm sorry to hear that some members of your party fell between the hot tub and the house, Anameris! We'll share your suggestion of a light in this area with the homeowner in hopes of preventing any future falls. Thank you for letting us know!
