    Refers to any home that provides direct access from the house to the slopes of Wisp Resort without driving or crossing a road. The convenience to the slopes in the winter is the best amenity! Some of our homes in the Lake Access and Lake Area categories may also be considered a Ski-In/Ski-Out property.
  2. Limited Lake Access
    Any home which does not come with any type of direct access to the lake for swimming or vessels, but does offer other lake-related activities, which include fishing and a lakeside picnic pavilion. Communities with this designation may also potentially offer many other great benefits, such as beautiful mountaintop views, quiet communities, great locations, and more. You can reserve a boat ahead of time at a local marina or access the lake for swimming through the public state park, which offers a sandy beach.

DESCRIPTION:
Congratulations! You’ve landed on the page for the largest vacation rental in the entire Deep Creek Lake area. Ace’s High Lodge is an architectural marvel, featuring 14 beds (including 5 ensuite bedrooms) and 10 baths. Your guests will be nothing short of “wowed” at this hilltop mansion equipped with everything you need for an unforgettable getaway. Situated next to Ace’s Run slope, you’ll have spectacular views of the Wisp Resort skiing area (and ski-in-ski-out access to them via Chair Lift #7) all winter long. And in the summer, your whole group can enjoy the stunning views of the cascading mountains from the expansive deck, private balconies, and outdoor dining areas.

Like many structures of this size, this breathtaking lodge is divided into two distinct wings with a central floor connecting the whole household. Having two separate areas on each side of the house is great for groups who want to spend time together but still enjoy a bit of privacy when the day’s all done. On the West Wing, located beyond the kitchen, you find stairs leading up to three ensuite bedrooms with plenty of storage and amenities. Headed downstairs on that side, you’ll find a huge —but oh-so-cozy— private media space perfect for movie nights with a wet bar, plus two additional bedrooms. Over on the East Wing, another set of stairs from the main floor will take you up to two more suites and a bedroom. And downstairs on that side, you’ll find a pub-style game area with a state-of-the-art pool table, flat-screen TV, plenty of seating, and a top-notch wet bar, as well as two additional bedrooms.

Bring the whole group together on the main level where you can watch the sunset over the Deep Creek Lake area from the Great Room or other sitting areas. At meal times, cook up a feast in the gorgeous restaurant-sized kitchen before serving it to guests in the massive dining room with enough seating for a whole football team! Located in the quiet, gated Ridge Run Community, this property is less than 10 minutes away from the lake and all of the lakefront attractions along Garrett Highway. Whether it's a corporate retreat, team outing, wedding party, family reunion, or ultimate vacation for family and friends, your stay at Ace’s High Lodge will be one for the books!

This is a FANTASTIC house! I almost don't want to say how fantastic it is in order to assure it is available when we want it. It is the perfect size for my large family to all be in one place, and we had an absolutely wonderful time. We have rented several houses over the past several years, and have landed on this one. I wish we could have a permanent annual reservation.

Really great house with huge communal areas and tons of small spaces for everyone to break off to and do different things. Perfect location for ski-in ski-out. The house was well maintained and as advertised. Only suggestions we have that could improve the house would be shelving in the garage for extra food storage by the fridge out there and a much much larger second refrigerator in the garage as well. We did not have nearly enough space to store food for 32 people over a long weekend.

My sixth time bringing a group of 25+ to Deep Creek and our first time at Ace’s High Lodge. Loved everything about the newness of this house. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Appropriate amount of en-suite and shared bathrooms. Amazing kitchen. Nice furnishings. Great location.

What an amazing home! Everything you could possible need is there. The owners certainly took their time in planning for the number of people that can stay in this home. There is plenty of different spaces for all ages of the family to hang out and when you gather together the kitchen and family room is big enough for everyone. This was an incredible trip to host family and friends!

We as a big group of family and friends always struggle to find big homes and this was the perfect fit for our big group. We loved the place. We booked it twice, once in the Winter and then in the summer. It was amazing both the times. We love it and highly recommend. We would like for the property management to consider for discounts for future as have booked it multiple times already.

Our 23 family members (ages 3 to 81) made good use of this large family house. Towel rods and/or a hook on the bathroom doors would have been helpful. But the vacation was fabulous.

Great Place for a Large Group

Our company rented this home for a weekend ski retreat. The house was great! It was well stocking with everyday use kitchen items. The house was very clean and tidy. The layout was interesting but was good for multiple families having their own space. Especially with small children that needed naps. The dining room/great room accommodated our large group quite well with it's long tables and benches. We did blow a GFCI breaker in the kitchen and called maintenance which arrived in a timely manner and corrected the problem. My suggestion for this particular house is installing a second breaker for the kitchen. The appliances with heating elements overloaded the circuit. With several small appliances in use at the same time for a large group, the second GFCI breaker would alleviate the circuit overload problem. The house is conveniently located next to the top of Lift #7 with ski on/off access.

The home was gorgeous and situated in the perfect location. Beautiful views of the mountains and easy access to Wisp attractions and the grocery store. My family and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday staying at Ace's High Lodge. We will definitely stay here again. It's a beautiful home with plenty of space for large groups.
