    Any property that has a specific, dedicated place to access the water for swimming or a boat dock (if applicable). The property owner does not own the access area. You may be able to walk to the water or you may need to drive to the area, depending on the particular property. Most Lake Access areas are designated by the community or HOA.
  2. State Park
    Any participating property that offers a state park pass (1 pass for homes with 1-3 bedrooms or 2 passes for homes with 4-6 bedrooms). Each pass will allow 1 car-load of people to access Deep Creek Lake State Park. Passes are seasonal and only available with reservations booked during the summer weeks (Mid-June – Labor Day)

When you come for a stay at Exceeding Expectations, you get four levels of living space, warm interior stylings, quality furnishings, and top-of-the-line amenities to delight the whole family! This mountainside home is ready to wow you with six master suites, private indoor swimming pool, newly updated kitchen, and plentiful natural light to drench the home in warmth and cheer. Located in the Pinnacle Community, this rental home has access to the community’s private tennis courts. You can even walk to the nearby community lake access point and the home’s dock slip is just a short drive away! Close to Deep Creek Lake State Park and other great area activities, this chalet is great for large family reunions and getaways among friends.

ACCESS DETAILS:
LAKE ACCESS: Located across Glendale Rd from the Pinnacle entrance. Dock Slip is located along Route 219 at the Trader’s Landing docks. Docks are located across the street from Subway/Trader’s Coffee/High Mountain Sports. Please note that docks are only guaranteed from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

STATE PARK ACCESS: This home provides 2 seasonal state park passes with reservations booked to arrive during the summer weeks (mid-June - Labor Day). Each pass allows 1 car-load of people to access the lake access area at Deep Creek Lake State Park at no additional fee, plus nearby state parks including Swallow Falls State Park, Herrington Manor State Park, and New Germany State Park. Instructions for obtaining these passes can be found in your check-in instructions prior to your arrival.

COMMUNITY/AREA DETAILS:
Located in The Pinnacle Community at Deep Creek Lake.
This home comes with free access to the Community Aquatic Recreation Center (CARC)! This fitness and wellness complex, located in the central Deep Creek Lake area, offers a modern gym and a full-size indoor pool. The free CARC membership is available to all guests in the home for the duration of your stay, up to the home’s full occupancy.

House is beautiful, well stocked. Love the dining room table, all 14 of us could sit and talk while we ate and played games. We took full advantage of the pool, which was very nice. Hot tub was disappointing with only one working jet. Negatives: had a problem with mice and the hot water smelled bad enough that no one wanted to shower.

It is wonderful to know that you were able to take full advantage of the pool during your visit. However, we sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered with the hot tub and other concerns during your stay. The house has a great layout and was very spacious for our group. The property could definitely use some TLC. Furniture could use a cleaning or be replaced and the house could use a deep clean.

we travel a lot and are always honest with reviews. this house was perfect. location was perfect for what came to the area for. close to the lake, and to live music. layout was great. pool was awesome and temp was great which allowed for swimming on a cool day. hot tub was a good size but only half the jets worked but that didn't bother us at all. we would definitely recommend and would stay again. extra bonus points for the most comfortable beds we have ever had while traveling.

The house is a good size for a large group. It was very well laid out. The location is great since it is close to the stores and grocery. The house itself is in need of some well earned TLC. There were burnt out light bulbs, lamp shades broken, showers were beat up, and the sofa bed was old and worn out. The bathrooms are very old and all need an upgrade. The stove top and microwave work, but were cracked and falling apart. The pool table was great but it is not level so dont expect it to be. The outside could use a good powerwash. THe house seems to be at its final days. It was a fun trip but will not come back to this rental.

Exceeding Expectations vacation rental did just that!! This house has everything you’d ever want for a family vacation! Heated indoor pool, covered hot tub, Fire pit, every bedroom has a bathroom, several different levels with their own indoor and outdoor spaces. The location is private and still convenient to the lake, state parks, family entertainment. 2 dishwashers kept the big family meals cleanup fast and easy. Most importantly was immediate response to our needs and concerns.

Disappointed in the overall condition that the house was in. We had to call upon arrival with several items. And then additional issues were noticed throughout the week. Kitchen, living room and pool area are smaller than they appear on the site. The laundry is jammed into the utility room.. You have to go inside to access the hot tub from the pool and there is no outside access from either. We were most concerned that almost all the sliding doors were extremely difficult to open. This house needs repairs and to be maintained.

Exceeding expectations was an incredible home to rent. The bedrooms, all with their own bathroom, was awesome for a couples getaway! There was plenty of space in the home to spread out and relax. Great comfortable home for the whole family. We really enjoyed our stay. It is conveniently located for all the deep creek area has to offer. We took advantage of all the home's amenities and there were plenty to enjoy. We will likely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.

This house is amazing!! It’s huge and was perfect for our girls winter getaway. The water has a rotten smell to it which I am assuming is the well. But other than that we had no complaints. The indoor pool is incredible. The whole room is heated like a sauna which was amazing. We will definitely stay here again.

Our family loved the large dining room table, foos ball and pool table. Railey was very quick to remove overflow of trash because of the Labor Day holiday. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen lighting is complicated with 3way switches. The two refrigerators, ovens, and dishwashers made cooking for 12 easy. Pool and hot tub were clean.

My wife and I have 5 kids and everyone had their own space. Just a few minor suggestions for anyone staying in this house. Bring some pots and pans the ones they have are dated and very few with lids. They are well stocked in the kitchen otherwise. We brought an air fryer and it came in handy. Also none of the knives are even remotely sharp. Two refrigerators and two dish washers help so much! Bring extra chairs for the fire pit they only have 4. Bring fire wood if you have space but otherwise there are plenty of places that sell firewood. The grill is charcoal and cheap so be warned. Overall these are minor things compared to the awesome place you will be getting.

I was very pleased with this home. Any questions I had before or during our stay were answered promptly. The house was clean and stocked with the items that they had promised. There was a bathroom for every bedroom so our families didnt have to share. The indoor pool worked out great due to the rain we had during our stay. It was a beautiful neighbor hood with lots of wildlife to observe. Although the neighbors may appear to be close, all of the trees and foliage made it feel very private. Plenty to do for all age ranges. Lots of amazing restaurants. I would love to plan a trip again for next year!

The home is spacious and well furnished! The beds were super comfortable as well. We arrived to a clean house and everything in its place. The pool is always a delight and we utilized it a lot. I really like that the pool has an alarm type system to keep everyone aware of people being in the pool. I think it’s a really good safety precaution.  Minor fixes needed:It would be nice if the hot tub area was a bit more clean when we arrived. There were leaves everywhere bcuz it was a partially enclosed area. Not a huge deal though. We still used it just fine.All of the knives in the kitchen are dull. It was hard to cut fruits and veggies. A new knife set would be a welcome addition to the kitchenThere are two refrigerators in the kitchen which is fantastic. But neither of them had working light bulbs. Getting the light bulbs replaced will make it easier to see what’s in the fridge.More chairs in the fire pit area would be great! I’ve rented several different homes from Railey Vacations over the years and I’m a repeat customer for a reason. Their customer service is always amazing. And the couple of times where we had an issue at a vacation home it was quickly resolved. We will definitely be coming back again and again.

This house was amazing and very kid friendly. The house over looked the lake and less than 10 minutes from surrounding stores. Whenever we wanted to relax the memory foam bed in every room was there to help. Everything was clean, neat, and organized. Me and my family made amazing memories here and will return.

We had a wonderful time for the 19 of us. There were plenty of things for the children to do in the home. They loved the pool. We all appreciated the bon fire outside while the weather permitted; plenty of wood. Day trips to the nearby State park provided hiking and just enjoying the beautiful outdoors.

Had a wonderful time visiting Deep Creek. The home was wonderful for all our families. We enjoyed hiking near by, fires at night, and the kids and adults took advantage of the pool and hot tub. Would definitely stay at this house again!

My family has been to this house many times, and we continue to love the facilities, location, and the super friendly owners. My kids love the easy and safe indoor pool. The latest trip the interior updates were even more impressive, with upgraded tables and chairs in the dining room, refinished hardwood floors, and comfy pillows. Plus the already comfortable beds had new pillow top mattresses. The owners were very fair and thoughtful in helping with any needs.

The house was huge and we had a great time. For the price and the amount of beds listed, we were unable to use the beds. Holes in the walls, holes in one of the advertised “insta bed”, old food found on the floors and under beds when we first arrived, the fireplace would not turn off which made the main area extremely hot the entire time, water pressure was terrible, there were ants alllll over the kitchen from a clogged garbage disposal. Again, the house was huge and we had a wonderful time, but for almost $1800.00 per night, it was less than expected and did not exceed our expectations.

This was our second time renting this house. We really enjoyed our walks throughout the beautiful neighborhood and the hours spent in and around the pool looking out of the many windows. We also enjoyed sitting on both decks.

This lovely home served as a home away from home during our stay. The accommodations were exceptional and a couple of guests mentioned they slept better than they did at home. There was plenty of room to space out and for anyone needing time apart from the group they could do so with ease.

Everything was so wonderful that I don't know where to begin! This was a Christmas that my family and I will never forget thanks to the outstanding stay at Exceeding Expectations! This home is awesome and comes with everything you need to have the time of your life with family and friends! Spacious rooms from top to bottom, top notch kitchen with lots of space, cozy fireplace(s) and furniture to get comfy on. This was the perfect place for me and my family to spend the Christmas holiday. Lastly, the host is/was amazing! Very attentive and responsive from beginning to end and even up until a few days after our departure she kept in touch! Rent this house! You will love it!

This was our first time at this property. The kids enjoyed the pool and adults enjoyed playing pool. There wasn't enough room for everyone to eat at the table but we made it work.

This was a lovely home and it was an incredible experience for my kids. The built in pool was a life saver when they got rambunctious. There were small issues like the fridge missing drawers and some of the fans made noise while they were on. Otherwise it was an awesome house.

As always, Railey homes are always clean and provide you with all the basics you need. We had a couple minor maintenance issues that needed taken care of. I called Railey and DJ(maintenance guy) was out there within a couple hours. He was very friendly and fixed all our issues. Love renting from Railey!!

This was a great way to spend a week. Some in our group ventured out but half of us never left! Private, comfortable pool, tons of space on the decks… we usually watch a bunch of TV but we never turned one on here. Laurie did great with our requests, quite a mind for customer service. Though I never liked interacting with the Railey, I will say that when a smoke detector 25’ up a ceiling started chirping at midnight one night, there was someone there pretty quick with a big ladder to solve the problem. I would be happy to return, but may try check out Laurie’s other property instead! (Reviewed on VRBO)

This is a great home for families with young kids. There is plenty of space for them to play without disturbing adults who might like a little quiet time. The pool area was their favorite (though adults found its air to be too hot / humid; a few more screens might fix that. Overall, a great house and location.

This house has space for 15 to spread out. The covered pool is a plus for the children in any weather. The house is a little tired looking and needs some TLC., and some repairs, but it works well for a large group, and our family enjoyed their vacation. Could have used some instructions for the house, but we figured everything out.

There was a lot of things wrong and broken in the house, called the main office and they sent people out to handle the problems. The only problem the first three days were not pleasant for my 50th birthday! By time the got everything working and straight we were almost into day four. Would I stay there again, maybe. I can say this it was differently enough room for everyone! Customer service was Awesome! I’ve been renting rentals from Railey’s for (9) years!!

It was a great experience. Kids never had a dull moment. Spacious house with entertainment area on one floor, good size indoor pool with jacuzzi on the side another. Each bedroom with it's own bathroom/shower. Outdoor space for barbeque and campfire as well. Very nice attentive owner, with promptly responsive rental company as well. Left with great memories! My family of 19 spent a week at Exceeding Expectations. The open floor plan combining the kitchen, dining and livingroom was prefect for socializing making great memories. The pool is beautiful. Laurie, the owner is wonderful, very professional and friendly.

Exceeding Expectations was a gorgeous home with all the amenities that a large family could ask for. It was a perfect location for all ages, with multiple master bedrooms that added to privacy. The indoor pool was fantastic and enjoyed by all! The owner is the sweetest host and extremely prompt during the whole process, booking through check-out. Can’t wait to return!

We love this property, it’s location, the owner, and the service from Railey Vacations. The house’s amenities were fantastic. Our family enjoyed our week in Deep Creek largely due to the home base that Exceeding Expectations provided. We are coming back to this home.

The pool was great. The rooms are very large & there was plenty of space. People should know with the trees in full bloom there is no view of the lake.

I rented this house for my sister’s bachelorette weekend. We had 20 girls and there was more than enough room! We never felt cramped or on top of each other. The beds were super comfy and linens and towels were provided which was very nice. We were all amazed by how big and and gorgeous the house was. The hot tub was a big hit along with the HEATED INDOOR POOL!!! Laurie was amazing to work with. Throughout the whole booking process she was very responsive in answering all my questions. Even during our stay, she texted and emailed to see how everything was going and if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend Exceeding Expectations to everyone!

I have to say. This was THE BEST birthday celebration I've ever had at Deep Creek. My group, which is a large group, has gone to Deep Creek multiple times over the years, but no experience was as good as this one and it wasnt just the house that was amazing. Laurie, who owns the house, WAS PHENOMENAL from start to finish. Literally ANY problem I had trying to book the house, she either took care of it or contacted someone to make sure it was taken care of. She worked with me EVERY step of the way to make sure that I not only could secure the house but also get it for my birthday weekend. While we were there, I could count on her to answer my texts at any time. She made sure to provide me with any and all information I needed to enjoy my time. Even Railey vacations were professional and timely. I told Laurie that 5 stars was not enough and trust me, it's not. This was amazing and I'll always be checking with her first when looking to rent in Deep Creek. The house was amazing! The pool was clean, the gaming floor was fun. The house was clean as well. I felt very comfortable the entire time I was there. Definitely 10/10 would recommend. Fantastic time at Exceeding Expectations. And that's exactly what Laurie and the Railey Vacations team did. Exceed our expectations BY A LONG SHOT.

The property was perfect for our family! So much privacy with each room being a suite plus plenty to do for everyone, the pool, hot tub, and games. Two refrigerators, double oven, and two dishwashers We had a great time and Laurie is so responsive. Loved it!

Coming to deep creek knowing nothing about this area, this place absolutely fulfilled all expectations. I fully recommend everyone to rent this place. It had everything we all could want and Laurie answered all questions we had. Overall great experience.

We have rented several houses before,in the Lake Erie area, and this was the best house, by far, to accommodate our family. Loved that each bedroom had its own en-suite bathroom. The bedrooms were large. Plenty of spaces to socialize and not feel cramped.

We rented the place for my bachelor party... We had an amazing time! It rained our whole weekend... But this house made up for it! We cooked, enjoyed the pool/ hot tub, played games and there are memories for a life time! I would recommend this place to anyone... I cant wait to go back! From the owners to the rental agency... We had a great experience!

One word - Amazing! Let me first start by telling you about the owner and management company - the BEST you'll ever work with. We had a trip planned with 5 families that got canceled due to weather. We reached out to Laurie and she couldn't have been more sympathetic and understanding with our situation. She got in contact with the management company and kept us informed all along the way in order to make sure we got a reservation and were taken care of! Absolutely the best experience I have had before our vacation even started! Now the Property - WOW! Everything was great! The house was immaculate and was perfect for our group. Each room had its own private bathroom which made it great that no one had to share! The kitchen and dining area were huge and worked perfectly for our group. The indoor pool was OUTSTANDING! We had 10 kids running around, playing, swimming, and just having the time of their lives! It made it perfect for days when it was raining outside or when they just wanted to get up and go swimming. The amenities were an added bonus as well - included with the stay was a pass to the local rec. center where they kids enjoyed swimming and part of our group was able to get their fitness done in the gym. Our entire group wished we could have stayed longer because this was a fabulous experience and a wonderful vacation!

Our group of 5 families stayed at Exceeding Expectations and it definitely EXCEEDED our expectations! Everything was great. Laurie, the owner, was amazing and really took care of us! Railey was also there every step of the way to make sure we had everything we needed and informed us of all of the activities around the Deep Creek area. Our entire vacation from start to finish can be summed up in one word - AMAZING!
