    Any participating property that offers a state park pass (1 pass for homes with 1-3 bedrooms or 2 passes for homes with 4-6 bedrooms). Each pass will allow 1 car-load of people to access Deep Creek Lake State Park. Passes are seasonal and only available with reservations booked during the summer weeks (Mid-June – Labor Day)

PARK ACCESS: Master Association Lakeside Park, located along Marsh Hill Rd.

LAKE ACCESS: Located along Route 219 at Trader's Landing docks. Docks are located across the street from Subway/Trader's Coffee House/ High Mountain Sports. Please note that docks are only guaranteed from Memorial Day through Labor Day.    

STATE PARK ACCESS: This home provides 2 seasonal state park passes with reservations booked to arrive during the summer weeks (mid-June - Labor Day). Each pass allows 1 car-load of people to access the lake access area at Deep Creek Lake State Park at no additional fee, plus nearby state parks including Swallow Falls State Park, Herrington Manor State Park, and New Germany State Park. Instructions for obtaining these passes can be found in your check-in instructions prior to your arrival.


COMMUNITY/AREA DETAILS:
This home is located in the DC Highlands Community at Deep Creek Lake. 

Access to the DC Highlands Community Associations amenities, including use of the community pool, pavilion, restrooms, tennis/pickle-ball court, basketball court, and playground.

Community Outdoor Swimming Pool: Open Father's Day Weekend - Labor Day, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. daily.

This home comes with free access to the Community Aquatic Recreation Center (CARC)! This fitness and wellness complex, located in the central Deep Creek Lake area, offers a modern gym and a full-size indoor pool. The free CARC passes are available to all guests in the home for the duration of your stay, up to the home’s full occupancy.

We loved the house and our time there. It was clean, organized, and spacious. We had all the amenities necessary for the weekend while also having plenty of open space for everyone to do their own thing. We look forward to rebooking this home.

We had the best time at Highland Manor. This home is so big and decorated with rustic flare, which is perfect because it is nestled right in the woods. We loved the open kitchen, living room area with the huge dining table where my large family would gather for meals, games movie nights, etc. The outdoor deck was awesome too. We utilized the firepit in the evening and lived in the hot tub and indoor pool!

Nice house but didn’t have a lot of pots to cook out of lots of lids and not that many bowls to use and one of the sinks the faucet part was broken

We enjoyed our stay at Highland Manor. Our Representative Laurie Cohen was absolutely wonderful, anything that needed to be addressed was done IMMEDIATELY and with great curtesy. ONe of my best experiences in our lives. Our family recently vacationed at the Highland Manor in Deep Creek, Maryland. We have a lifetime of experience renting homes in various locations for over 50 years. I can say, without any hesitation, that our stay at Highland Manor was just about the best experience we have ever had in vacation properties or hotels--even beats virtually every cruise we ever made. The owners were extremely responsive to any needs we had (and there were not many or that significant). The house was very comfortable, neat, and clean as were the pool, hot tub and all the extra amenities the owners provided. We had two bottles of wine and firewood for the fire pit upon arrival, and they provided us with great information about things to do in Deep Creek that made our vacation very enjoyable. I rank this as a five-star place and I cannot say enough about the services we received. We will definitely have to do this one again!!! This was a truly fabulous experience!

Overall the house itself was perfect. Finding things around the town was hard. No address to where things are located like the pool and courts.

Spacious enough for 8 kids (4-17) and 8 adults to find their own nook. indoor pool was a great attraction as was the pool table. kitchen was large enough to allow multiple cooks to do their thing simultaneously. house is nestled among woods that makes for relaxing environment... proximity to local amenities and attractions is a plus as well

We had a great weekend at the Highland Manor house. Perfect for the 14 of us that came from various parts of PA, OH and VA. House was spacious and well set up for our group. The only issue I experienced was that the door of the bedroom we stayed in was off its hinge and handle was off the door. A maintenance person came and fixed the hinge, but did not fix the handle. Also, the door would not latch. Otherwise, we had a good stay and would consider this property in the future.

Our group of 14 adults had a great time at Highland Manor. This house comfortably accommodated all of us. The spacious kitchen had plenty of refrigerator space, sinks and dishware for all. The large upstairs living area is laid out nicely with a big dining table, couches, chairs and stools at the countertop. Bedroom level below is quiet and bathrooms in most bedrooms. There was plenty of parking spots and a nice yard for cornhole and a bonfire. I would recommend this house and would consider staying there again.

Great home. All the families and kids Had a blast. The pool was especially fun for the kiddos, though the alarm was a bit finnicky at times. Toilet was also having some issues upon arrival, but there was a person fixing it. The two issues I pointed out were the main downsides. Otherwise loved all the amenities, the ample space, 2 refrigerators (super helpful), and the overall design of the property. Will be open to staying again next year!

Nice house! Little maintenance things throughout but overall nice. If it's winter, you should bring more firewood. what is provided isn't much, and the fireplace in the living room works well, so it is nice to have a fire when it's cold.

The house is enormous. The main floor has so many spaces all connected. The family could be all together no matter what everyone was doing. We were cooking, playing games, watching football, building jigsaw puzzles all at the same time in the same room. It was perfect!

The house was all and more than we expected. We had stayed next door, saw this house and indoor pool and we wished we stayed there. We used all 8 bedrooms and no one felt crowded. There were a few minor issues and Laurie the owner addressed them immediately.

House was clean. Really enjoyed the layout with most of the bedrooms in the basement and the large open areas upstairs. House was extremely clean upon arrival. Indoor pool area was a perfect 75 degrees. Excellent house. Would definitely recommend to anyone and consider rebooking.

We rencelty stayed at this location for a Fall family getaway. The house was everything we expected based on the pictures, description and prior reviews. The check in and check out process was very easy. The property management company and the owner were very responsive with any questions or concerns. Great customer service on their part. The great room on the upper level of the house was huge and able to handle lots of people. There are 8 bedrooms with lots of bathrooms and space if you want some privacy. The house is in a great location near the lake, ski resort, restaurants, breweries, places to shop and outdoor activities. We loved the are as it was so beautiful. Definitely a place to go back to.

Great for a Large Family!

We had a large group with multiple families with young kids and had more than enough space. We love the layout of the house, especially all the master bedrooms and that we could sit together in a large group for meals. The indoor pool was great for the young kids. This property would have been a five except that the outdoor community pool is closed for the season and had we known that before booking we would have went with another rental house. The state park passes and day access to the beach were nice though.

It is a dated house that has numerous maintenance issues (water damage, non functioning items, etc.). It was an ok place to stay but was overpriced for what you get.

On behalf of the homeowners we wanted to reach out and let you know that they have recently made several updates to Highland Manor including new carpets, updated furniture, as well as pillow top mattress to provide extra comfort. The homeowners and Railey’s staff work diligently to amend any issues you may have during your stay and want to address that although there was a leak in a pipe causing water damage, the situation was addressed immediately and the correct repairs have been made. We hope that these improvements will remedy any issues you may have had and that we have the opportunity to rent to you again in the near future so you and your group can have the best rental experience possible!

My family and I take a ski trip every year. This is the 2nd time we've been to Wisp, this house was aswome. The owner was so accommodating and sweet. She truly cared about her guest. The layout of this house is perfect for multiple families. In fact the best winter home we have rented to date. We never felt divided, the layout was perfect.

We just returned from a 4-day weekend at this beautiful home. We had a family trip with ages ranging from 13 months to 70 years old. Everyone had a great time with plenty to do. Laurie, the homeowner, was great to work with before, during and after the trip. She answered any questions very quickly and checked with me during our stay to make sure everything was okay. We got A LOT of snow on the day of our departure, and she even arrange a complimentary late checkout.

Highland Manor is a beautiful home in a scenic area that makes for a fantastic getaway. My wife raved so much about the home from her last time there, that I looked so forward to seeing it for myself and I am so glad I did.My wife pointed out a number of updates to the property since her last visit -- new plush feeling carpet and comfortable, appealing furniture had been added. The dining room was lovely, with a large table that seats 14 plus bar stools at the counter and pub table that the kids tended to prefer. We had plenty of space for our large party of guests, and enjoyed our meals and game nights at these tables. I have a bad back, and often leave hotels with more pain than I arrive with. but the beds were so comfortable and I was refreshed and felt good when I woke in the morning. My wife commented that they must have updated the mattresses, as they were even better than her previous visit. The hot tub was likely my favorite part of the house to spend time in, and the kids loved their time in the heated pool. I can't thank Laurie, the owner, enough for the easy way she worked with us and letting us enjoy our vacation in her marvelous home. We look forward to making this a yearly event.

Winter Family Vacation Perfection

Highland Manor was the perfect house for our family vacation that included two families and a total of six children ranging from infant to 8 years old. The open layout let the parents enjoy some space while also being able to keep an eye on all the kids. Not only were there bedrooms to spare, but everyone slept incredibly well. The adults unanimously agreed that these were the best mattresses in a rental we have ever experienced. It is easy to say that the highlight for everyone was the indoor pool. The kids got in it twice a day and wore themselves out, and the parents who weren't on lifeguard duty were able to take a nap or prepare meals uninterrupted. We all returned from our week in Deep Creek unexpectedly rested with many wonderful memories.

This was our first time in deep creek and the house couldn't have been any better! it was clean and very spacious, the owner communicated the entire time and even threw in a special gift for my birthday. The pool room was a hit and the hot tub. I recommend this house to anyone that wants to go to deep creek!

We had a group of 12 adults and 5 kids. There was plenty of space for all of us which was awesome. The indoor pool and hot tub were very nice to have. We loved the central fireplace as well and had a fire going all of Saturday. Sadly the property does not appear to be taken care of very well. The carpets are stained. Most of the furniture is broken, scuffed, or worn. The fireplace doors are broken. Tiles are missing from the pool. The deck is in poor condition. With some attention this could be a pristine property but for the money it isn't worth it. You can find properties in deep creek in much better condition, with the same amenities, for that much money.

New carpet and flooring is scheduled to be installed soon, and until then, the owners have arranged for the current carpet to be deep-cleaned to better ensure our guests' comfort. As these exciting new changes are being implemented, the owners are also in the process of scheduling maintenance to the fireplace doors and deck. Due to some staffing issues, these repairs will take a bit longer than they would under normal (pre-pandemic) circumstances, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. I'm sorry to hear that some aspects of your stay didn't meet your expectations and want to assure you that the owners of Highland Manor are eager to address all guest concerns as soon as possible. Since your stay, the owners have given the home a thorough evaluation and have implemented several changes that we hope you will find exciting. New furniture, including a new couch, coffee table, and bar stools have been added to the home, providing some comfy new spaces for our guests. The owners have also scheduled for new carpet and flooring to be installed in the coming weeks and will be regularly deep-cleaning the current carpeting in the meantime. The mattress toppers and grill have been replaced, and the pool tiles are scheduled to be repaired, too! As a nice additional touch, the dressers and tables will soon be outfitted with tinted glass. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and hope that this information will weigh into your decision to visit Highland Manor in the future, as we'd love to have you back again soon. The house was perfect for our family vacation. Our family of 15 easily fit into the house with plenty of space and everyone had their own bedrooms and bathrooms. Everyone could fit at the kitchen table and the kitchen was very large. The indoor pool and hot tub were a big hit. The house was well equipped but it could use some updating and the carpets needed cleaning. Otherwise it was a perfect house for what we needed (Reviewed on VRBO)

Great vacation home for large group

Our group of 20 had a great time at this home. The house has plenty of space for our families and we really liked the dock slip. It is conveniently located near WISP and lots of activities. I would have loved to have some sort of child proof lock on the pool area - the alarm system was a great but would have been nice to have a lock or keypad for entry. I also couldn’t tell from the pictures how little outdoor space there was. But having the pool made up for that. We also enjoyed the community playground.

My friends and I rented Laurie's home for a long weekend and had an amazing time! Honestly, the pictures of this home do not do it justice regarding how large and wide open it is. It's huge! The home comfortably slept all 13 of us and there was more than enough room on the main floor for us to hang out. We really enjoyed the indoor pool in heated room and the outdoor hot tub as well. Absolutely beautiful house. Plenty of room to cook, dine and watch TV. Perfect getaway experience. Realtor is great, pool man is friendly, very courteous. Bedrooms are spacious. Only thing I'd say, take some tools, bathroom seats were lose, couple handles needed tighted up and seats were lose and flimsy. Outside of that, perfect house for a getaway. Oh, the pool, spectacular!

Loved Highland Manor It was a charming house with an indoor pool which the kids loved. Deep Creek is a wonderful place for a get a way There was firewood provided for the fireplace and the fire pit. Welcome bags were right on time with essentials to get you started. I was impressed with the level of communication during our vacation and the response of Railey Vacations to any of our concerns (which weren't many) Would definitely rent again. It was a beautiful family vacation and we did not have to travel far. Western Maryland is gorgeous this time of the year.

If the changes that I mentioned were made we would definitely rent this house again. The house has great "bones" and all the amenities that we needed but it looks like it needs a bit of a facelift in the furniture and bathrooms.

They've also said goodbye to a few chairs past their prime. Amazing location and layout. So much to do in the house if you want to stay in and close to lots of fun activities if you want to go out! The kitchen is fabulous even if you don’t like to cook. I guarantee it will become your favorite room in no time.

We had 9 adults and 8 kids (ages 12 and under) in our party, and all of us enjoyed the house immensely. The home has a great layout that is open, but also separate enough that we could send the kids off (usually downstairs) to get some quiet time. We really enjoyed the large kitchen table and all the double appliances in the kitchen — it was so helpful when cooking for a large group. The kids loved, loved, loved the pool, and the grownups appreciated that the pool was big enough for the kids to enjoy but small enough that the grownups didn’t have to get in. We felt comfortable just reading and watching from the pool lounge chairs. The neighborhood around the house is quiet and beautiful, and the yard around the house is also wonderful. The kids liked climbing on the enormous rocks out front. The owner was friendly and communicative and the rental management folks were helpful. We would definitely stay here again. We stayed at Highland Manor over Labor Day weekend, something our friends and I have been doing for years. The layout of Highland Manor is what we loved the most, the second floor being the kitchen & main living area while most of the other bedrooms were downstairs on the first floor near the pool room. Most bedrooms included a bathroom & had extra pull out beds. The pool room was childproof alarmed which is an excellent feature, but it was not pointed out to us upon booking. Overall, the property was cleanly & we had no problems at all checking in.

Laurie was quick to respond and even checked in with us over the weekend. The house was clean and a quick drive to rent boats. We were concerned about the indoor pool with small children but there is a buzzard that goes off if the door isn’t properly locked (it’s also not easy for small children to open the door). We loved that feature! We hope to stay here again next year.

The house was amazing! 8 adults and 1 toddler with room for more! We especially enjoyed swimming in the evenings with our granddaughter in the enclosed pool. The owner, Laurie, was extremely helpful recommending child fun activities!

The house was exactly what was advertised. It was huge and easily accommodated our group of 15! The indoor pool/hot tub were clean and a lot of fun! I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a large home in the great location near Deep Creek Lake and Wisp Resort. The owner Laurie was great throughout the entire process.

I LOVE this house! It accommodated my family for my Birthday! The owner is awesome! The home is beautiful! The beds are comfy and the kitchen, wowwww the kitchen fit 4 cooks!! It has two refrigerators, two sinks, two dishwashers, awesome as stove, two ovens and plenty of room to eat with your family! The indoor pool and Jacuzzi was perfect! the area has a great grocery store, liquor store and gas station. It is right next to Wisp Resort and I believe the largest man made lake! Everything from booking to checking out was smooth. There is plenty to do and all the fun and needed information is provided to you. We are definitely returning!

Fantastic Sweet 16 Getaway

We wanted to do something extra special for our daughter's sweet 16 (OK.... just to be honest, it was 1 week before she turned 17 - we were super late on celebrating 16, but we got it in before she was officially 17!) My daughter was very excited to take a birthday trip to Deep Creek with her friends, and I was excited to get to enjoy such a lovely, peaceful environment, which she hung out with her friends. Laurie, the owner, was amazing, and talked me through everything before we went. I had an extremely helpful list of things we needed to bring, and ideas of things we could do. Prior to completing my booking she had called me to explain that the electric company had come out and run a new wire for the pool, and that the pool was perfectly safe to swim in. She even let me know that she had personally swam in the pool, since the wire was run. She was true to her word -- the pool was absolutely great and while we were there, my daughter and her friends spent nearly all 3 days in it and in the hot tub. I got to spent a very small amount of time in the pool and hut tub myself, (when I was able to get the girls to give me a chance) and it was such a joy to use them both. Besides the pool and hot tub, the house itself is beautiful. My daughter and her friends stayed in the bedrooms on the main floor, and they loved having their own rooms, TV's and bathrooms. I stayed in one of the bedrooms on the 2nd floor, so I could give them the sense of privacy. My room was lovely -- the bed was extremely comfortable, the room (all the rooms actually) were nicely appointed and comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water, despite sharing the house with 4 teenage girls! The kitchen was to due for. I have a very small kitchen at home, so I loved the spacious kitchen, which was fully outfitted with everything I needed, and the girls liked eating at the kitchen island, on the bar stools. I think we ate one meal at the dining room table, but the island was so much more cozy for our little group. We did leave the house and neighborhood, but most of the time we were there was spent enjoying the house, pool, hot tub, and surrounding grounds. We honestly could have spent the entire trip hanging at the house, and been completely content. It was quiet and so nice to take walks around the neighborhood, and check out all of the unique homes. However, I could not have been happier with Highland Manor, and will definitely be renting this home again!”

Spacious & Great for Large Groups

We stayed in Highland Manor Jan. 31 - Feb. 3. We had a groups of 17 adults. We never felt crowded or on top of each other. The home needs some TLC as there were multiple cabinet doors loose, the fireplace door fell off, the fireplace would leak smoke out the other side, among other wear and tear from being a rental. The home only had 11 normal sized forks. We bought 10 more and left them for other guests! Absolutely loved having the indoor pool! Really broke up the wknd! Loved having the pool ya Le on the main living area. Kept our group together! Would definitely rent this property again!

Highland Manor was better than we could have ever anticipated. The house was large enough for our group of 16 to spend time together and alone when we we wanted. We had an issue with one of the dishwashers and it was care for within a couple of hours after reporting it. Now that is service. We would not hesitate to rent this house or any other managed by the Railey Vacations team.

Annual family Thanksgiving

Our entire family had a wonderful Thanksgiving in this large house and will share the memory forever. The house is a little worn bur all in all was very nice. The rooms were large, the kitchen was large, many bedrooms and bathrooms. We were sad that lights were out and the pool and hot tub had to be serviced after we arrived and the water temperature had to come up before they could be used but every thing that we phoned for was taken care of and everyone was very polite and considerate. Hopefully we will be able to use the house again in the future.
