The sixty-year Railey family legacy and the history of Deep Creek Lake go hand in hand – from small stone cottages on the lake to the largest and most productive real estate company in the area. Thirty-six years ago, a novel idea was born: supplementing the income of second homeowners by opening up personal vacation homes to renting guests. The Railey family was the first to introduce this cutting-edge concept to Deep Creek Lake with the original intent of simply supporting real estate sales. It soon grew to be a stunningly successful concept that has exploded across the country and even the world.
As the years went by, Railey Realty worked hand-in-hand with Railey Mountain Lake Vacations (RMLV) to support the vacation rental homeowner through the cycle of real estate sales and rentals. Providing the best of both services allowed each company to grow and succeed. In 2009, the owners of Railey Realty made the strategic decision to dive into the vacation rental market, forming Deep Creek Lodging Company.
We are very excited to announce that the Railey family is coming back together in 2018! Railey Realty’s Deep Creek Lodging and RMLV have merged to create the lake’s largest vacation rental company, Railey Vacations!
If you are a Deep Creek Lodging homeowner, you will greatly benefit from the thirty-six years of loyal repeat renters, our large in–house support personnel, and the company expertise found at RMLV. All of the Deep Creek Lodging staff that you have come to work so closely alongside has been offered employment with Railey Vacations.
If you are a RMLV homeowner, your financial partners now include the area’s largest and most successful real estate company. We will be sharing best practices across both companies to better support your financial goals.

All information related to check-in times, locations, and renter policies will stay the same throughout the summer months. For renters arriving in fall or later, additional information will be provided closer to your arrival window, if there will be any anticipated changes to the arrival process.
