    Ski Area homes and units are within a 1mi driving distance to Wisp Resort Ticket Window and/or Lift Access. Ski Area homes may require you to drive a very short distance and/or cross a road by foot. Some homes under Lake Front, Lake Access or Lake Area may also be considered a Ski Area property.

Not as advertised, House is in very poor condition. AC does not work properly and is only on the main floor and cannot keep up with house size. Furniture is falling apart, windows are moldy and rotting, flooring is coming up, ductwork and covers are dusty, moldy and rusty. House is dangerous for renters and stinks of mold and mildew.

We had an extended family group of 22 ranging in age from 12 to 73 and there was ample space for everyone and plenty to do to keep everyone entertained. We especially enjoyed the large number of bedroom suites, the hot tubs, pool table, indoor pool and outdoor areas. The upstairs rooms got very warm and were hard to keep cool. We would definitely return to the Deep Creek area and stay in the house again.

This was year 7th for our group and our first time at Eagle Lodge! We loved the location of the home pretty much close to all needs! The house has a ton of space only a few house issues that we experienced (a little wear and tear with the furniture within the home, one of the hot tubs is old and outdated and does not produce like the newer one, pool water at time can be cold, trash cans were both full called for maintenance to remove nothing took place had to leave trash in the home) but overall we had fun! I would recommend this house to anyone!

Overall the stay at the American Eagle was a satisfactory experience. The house is large and well laid out to accomodate a large group. Even with colder weather, there were plenty of activities to keep teenagers and adults occupied. The interior of the house was satisfactory however could use some updating. On our only full day of our stay, we were greeted by the pool attendant which serviced the pool. We could not use the pool during this period and were dissapointingly told that we needed to stay out of the pool for 2-3 hours. The pool was a major consideration when choosing a house rental. I believe this service could have waited until after our check out. Another issue was the main fireplace in the great room was missing a pane of glass. The glass screen appeared to be in excess of 25 years old and broken and should be repaired/replaced.

We would like to mention that due to county policy we are required to service our pools daily, we do try to coordinate with our arrivals and departures as well as service pools at the most convenient time but sometimes we do have to come at different times throughout the day. Great location. Close to the ski resort, grocery store, liquor store, Ledo's, and the Green Turtle. We all loved that you could overlook the lake and watch the skiers come down the mountain. Amazing views! House had everything we needed and plenty of space.

My friends and I kicked off 2024 and we are so grateful we did!!! What a great way to enjoy a winter wonderland!!! We brought a Bluetooth speaker and had several dance parties with the kiddos amongst many other great memories! Looking forward to rebooking!!

This was the third time we have spent our time at American Eagle Lodge. It is perfect for a large family. The swimming pool and hot tubs were enjoyed by many. We have been going every other year for Thanksgiving week and this has been our favorite place. Highly recommend it.

We loved spending our vacation in the American Eagle home. Each family had their own room and bathroom. The pull out couches, cots and day bed were perfect sleeping arrangements for the kids. We spent a lot of time in the water. We rented a giant water trampoline, some kayaks, paddle boards, and a boat since we were right on the water. Also, we spent some time in the pool and the hot tubs. The location is great, plenty of room for 23 people to spread out, and plenty of places for 23 people to gather. We were close to Funland, the Aquatic Center, Deep Creek Donuts, minutes from WV, Swallow Falls State Park, Deep Creek State Park, and so much more. We are looking forward to visiting the Deep Creek area again for sure.

We had the best vacation ever. House was super big and accommodated all 21 of us comfortably. The very large deck over looking the lake was where we spent all our time. Kids loved the jacuzzi’s . And we rented a boat and a water trampoline so lots of jumping and water skiing. A little problem with Sauna which was addressed immediately after a phone call to Railey. Will definitely do again.

We had an awesome time BUT the house needed a lot of remodeling. When we got there the carpets were dirty (big spots), there were some cracked outlets where half of the outlet covers were gone, the counter chairs were broken, some blinds were completely off of windows and sitting on the bathroom sill/bedroom sill, the master bedroom door was cracked in half where you close the door and lock it (looked like someone kicked the door in), hot tub spout broke when we got in and water shot everywhere (we had to find the circuit breaker and turn that one off), some remotes were missing for tvs, some electrical socets were not working to plug up phones etc. A few too many items to post on here. It was not snowing when we got there so Wisp was closed to go snow-tubing but it did start snowing that Saturday which was awesome. We got some great pictures of the lake. We had a few snowball fights lol. We did have a great time but wished the house was fixed up or at least remodeled for that price.

This house was perfect for our annual family winter trip. It was so spacious and open. Bedroom were big and loved that all of the rooms had their own bathrooms. We sure had a great time. My only complain was the kitchen sink, because the erator wasn’t working so our sink was clogged. We called customer service and they sent maintenance right away. My complain was that when you send someone to fix something, the maintenance should make sure that everything is good and working before they leave. He fixed the erator but left under the sink leaking which made a lot of mess in the kitchen floor and under the sink cabinet that we had to clean up. So we had to call again and they had to send someone again to fix it. Overall, our family had a great time!! We are planning to come back again next year and thinking of getting the same house again.

Needs a deep cleaning

House is big for our big family. Loved the new floors. Lots of bedrooms. Pool area needs cleaned. A lot of things are broken and/or needs replaced. House needs a deep clean. Mold in the bathrooms tiles. Dusty. Faucets leaking. Pool was clean but very cold. Pool guy came and turned it up two degrees. Children were freezing. Very disappointed . Not worth the money.

Great Location, but a Little Dated

Great location (walk to Ledo’s, the liquor store and more!), beautiful view and plenty of space. But, the house is a little dated - the kitchen cabinets and drawers are old the furniture has seen better days. The pool, hot tubs and views can’t be beat!

There were numerous things in the house that needed fixed. Some lights in the bathroom that adjoined two bedrooms didn't work. Breaker in lower level laundry is HOT. Best part of the stay was the fire pit.

This house was a great size and location for our mom's 75th birthday celebration. We fit three large families comfortably. The ability for kids and adults to all sit around one table for meals was wonderful. The kids loved making s'mores and playing pool. We were all in the lake often and the kids enjoyed some indoor pool time. The fun and memories will be looked back on fondly for a long time. Thank you.

American Eagle Lodge on Deep Creek Lake is a wonderful place for a family vacation. There is so much to do within minutes of the house. Hike to waterfalls, mountain roller coaster, go carts, zip line, fishing, boating, and great restaurants if you don't feel lije cooking.

Beautifully designed, spacious home in a great location at Deep Creek. The only reason it didn’t get five stars, is that it needs updating with new furniture and better cook ware. Also , the pool heater was broken so that was disappointing. ( we did get a partial refund). The hot tub made the kids happy! I hope that if we stay again that the updates have occurred.

1. Several black scratches on the floor in the dining and living areas. 2. Black scratches on the front edge of the left-hand stove. 3. Light over this stove doesn't work. 4. Roller for toilet paper holder in 2nd floor back bedroom, missing. 5. Bottom step in pool entrance broken - Loose piece - hazardous. 6..Smoking. - No one in my party smokes, but cigarette butts are found in the parking area, and many in the cigarette butt container near the hot tub. 7..Trash - All trash was bagged and placed in the designated container, but much loose debris and empty cans were in the bottom of the container when we arrived. You know about the spas. Other than that, we enjoyed our vacation.

We loved this home! The location is incredible. It is so close to everything, but quiet. We loved mix of shade from the trees with the opening to view lake activities. We also loved the pool and hot tubs. The house has a lot of open space and room to move around. It's gorgeous!
