This five-bedroom vacation rental was recently remodeled and features a host of fantastic amenities, including a gas fireplace, pool table and wireless Internet. Plus, a fabulous outdoor hot tub! Step out of the hot tub and dry off on the colossal back deck before strolling down to the water’s edge for a splash around the lake and private dock. Just minutes from area restaurants, the local movie theater, and more, Kiss the Lake offers a convenient location, an incredible setting, and all the comforts of home!

BLUF: House is great but property mgmt experience was not my fave. House: Great location, closest to water we have had in Deep Creek, pool table, air hockey, and hot tub are delightful, kitchen is fully stocked, etc. Only caveat is the first night pipes or heater or something in the walls made a banging noise from 11:30pm-12:30am but this did not repeat which was nice. Property Management: We've used Railey Vacations before but this time felt a little much. I booked everything through my phone and thought we were set and a day later noticed a couple emails in my inbox stating "Your reservation will be canceled today, unless this document is completed in order to secure your booking." I freaked out and tried to complete the paperwork through my phone but it was too complex to do so so had to wait until the next day when I had computer access. I sent a message to Railey saying I needed more time and they granted it, which was great, but the amount of info required for the booking, including having to ask adult friends I am not super close with how old they are felt weird (and something I haven't had to do for other rentals). Despite getting the paperwork in the next day I continued to receive emails saying my reservation would be canceled unless I did "X", so I was just on and off stressed until our trip. Also, this is my bad, but checkout was 10am with no late checkout option, which made for an unnecessarily early last morning. Will likely use a different company next time.

Hi Hillary! We appreciate you taking the time out to leave us with your feedback. Our Travel Party list is in place for a multitude of reasons. The main reason, in which this list will benefit you as well, is that if you’ve accepted the travel insurance and need to make a claim for any reason, the travel insurance company may only cover those members that are listed on your travel party list in a claim. This list is also in place to ensure our travelers are not planning a vacation larger than the capacity of the home they’ve rented. The maximum occupancy of a home is determined by the county licensing authority and we must ensure this limit is enforced. We ask that you please abide by the maximum occupancy number for the home you’ve rented at all times. We would also like to mention that for the timeline/ cancellation policy you will get a 1st notice, a 2nd notice, and a final/cancellation notice. Those can be very close together based on the timeline we need the data. Contracts are due within 48 hours after booking; and unfortunately we can’t hold a property off the market longer than 48 hours without potential financial loss (ex. if a guest were to decide to cancel their stay closer to arrival because we didn’t do our due diligence to ensure contracts were signed). Once the contract is signed and the first payment is successful, we typically won’t send another email until closer to arrival when a final payment is due, and their arrival details are ready. We sincerely apologize for any confusion or frustration caused and we do hope that we can have another opportunity to rent to you again in the future to provide a better rental experience overall. First time to rent house for family to spend time together. Friends have been coming to Deep Creek now for three years so thought it should work for us. Enjoyed by all. Twenty year old grandson said he would do again. So that said it. Thanking God that three households could get together. Looking forward to doing in next year.

Great lakeside stay in Deep Creek Lake

This was a great three night stay. The unit is nicely updated with beautiful views, a large deck, lots of room to spread out and strong WiFi if you need to work or watch Netflix. We especially enjoyed hiking at Swallow Falls and Herrington Manor State Parks and lounging in the hot tub. Railey Vacations was easy to reach for any questions. Would highly recommend.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Kiss the Lake. We really enjoyed being right on the lake. We loved watching all the boats. The boat traffic was very busy on the weekend making the water rough for swimming but it calmed down a bit during the week. The deck was a great place for relaxing and watching meteors. The house was comfortable and spacious. The trees created nice shade and had perfect spacing for our hammocks.

We've been renting this house each year since 2010. Wish we would have known about it sooner since we have been vacationing at DCL since 1972. The location is perfect, size is ideal, pet friendly is a definite plus & we love fishing from the pier. Its become a family tradition & one that will be carried on for a long time. Already booked for 2021.

The house was spacious. The openness of the kitchen, dining room, and living room was great for the family, Great dock for our boat especially during boat traffic. We did tubing And waterskiing and dock was not far from The house. Dock was large enough for kids to to fish. Overall Great Vacation will be back in a couple years. Again thank you Railey’s.

Great home with good location. Only negative is it’s location on the lake. It is a very busy section so the water gets rough. But not a reason to avoid this home.

Great location and a well appointed home, especially the kitchen. The home was in excellent shape and well cleaned prior to arrival. To improve the overall rating, I would suggest the addition of a large screen smart television (to enable Netflix, etc.) as well as an upgrade of great/living room furniture. Overall the experience was appreciated by everyone. Thanks.
