DESCRIPTION:
Tucked in the trees along Lake Shore Drive you will find this beautiful lakefront home. Enter the home to find stunning wood walls and ceilings highlighted by the panel of floor to ceiling windows over looking the lakefront. Enjoy the best of all seasons with ways to entertain no matter what the weather. In the summer and fall, gather on the upper section of the deck for dinner and grilling or on the lower section to catch some rays and relax. Follow the path down to the lake to enjoy fun on the lake or on the dock and come back to soak in the bubbles of the hot tub. On those rainy falls days or snowy winter ones, curl up on the sectional in the living room, throw on your favorite movie and feel the warmth of the fireplace as the snow cascades outside the windows or head downstairs and shoot a game on the pool table. Get out of the house to grab lunch or dinner at the local favorite restaurants before hitting up one of the arcades for games, laser tag, go-karts and more! Located near the heart of Deep Creek Lake, you will never run out of things to do all year round. Hurry and plan your next DCL vacay at Lake Shore Landing! We can’t wait to have you!

House was nice. Beautiful view. Clean. Well furnished. The clothes dryer did not work. When I called Railey to report the outage, Fred told me he would send someone out to check it. That was 9:05 am Saturday. We checked out at 10:00 am Monday, still with an inoperative dryer and no further word about when the dryer might get fixed. I understand this was on a weekend. But if weekend service is problematic, just say so. Instead of waiting for a promised technician who would never come, we could have found a laundromat.

The house was great. Nice view. Excellent location. Checked in Thursday, tried to do laundry Friday evening, the dryer didn’t work. First thing Saturday morning reported the issue to Railey. Fred said they would get someone out to look at it. We checked out Monday without ever hearing from Railey again.

The dock at this house is a disaster. It is angled directly at another dock vs. open water and it is very difficult to get the boat into the dock. The water at the dock is very shallow (18" at front and 27" at the back) and it was too shallow to dock the rented pontoon boat which Bills Marine says needs 36" minimum to avoid propeller damage. We had to use a rented dock at Brenda's Pizza which was an extra $500 for 5 days. You have to deal with steps many steps. The master suite and the main level are separated by steps. From main level to the bathroom, more steps. It is a long way to the lake with lots of steps and a walkway. The kitchen appliances are the low end models and the deck/patio is a mess with lots of mold and moss. Most of the pool cues are missing tips and there were 5 burned out ceiling lights in the pool room which maintenance never showed to replace so I had to buy replacement bulbs at Arrowhead Market. Bedroom doors which are hollow (cheap) and stick. We had trouble with the master bedroom door locking unintentionally when we close it. This is the worst house over all that we have rented in our 21 yrs. going to Deep Creek.

Your feedback is invaluable as we strive to make our homes more accommodating for all guests. Regarding the condition of the kitchen appliances and the outdoor space, we are committed to maintaining high standards and will address these concerns promptly. We will ensure that our outdoor areas are cleaned and that all appliances meet our guests' expectations. We regret that you experienced issues with the pool cues and the lighting in the pool room, as well as the problems with the bedroom doors. Our property management will be alerted to these matters to ensure they are resolved for future guests. Lakeside Landing is a beautiful home that accommodated our family of 4 adults and 4 kids. The views are amazing. Some cleaning issues were addressed but hopefully they were one time issues.

Amazing Lake Views

We had a friends trip to Lake Shore Landing during the first week of April, and our stay was lovely. Maryland treated us to all four seasons in one trip, and our first morning wake up was to a dusting of snow. By the last day of our stay, it was sunny and a high of 75! We enjoyed the babbling brook, the amazing views of the lake, bird watching, sunsets on the water, the fire pit, the pool table, and the hot tub. We played board games, had fires inside and out, and spent time lounging on the various decks. This cabin is a good fit for groups of adults, and groups with kids. The cabin's features and layout were nice, although it is a lot of stairs by the end of the day. Keep an eye out for ducks, woodpeckers, song birds, and eagles if you're an avid birder!

Excellent place to stay (outside of the heating issues)

Our first night was pretty miserable because there was no heat coming out of the vents in most of the bedrooms (to include the Master bedroom). We spent most of the night trying to figure out what might be wrong with the heat... That's definitely not how I would have liked to spend my first evening on vacation! Since it was after regular business hours, I ended up calling the emergency housekeeping phone number only to be sent to a voicemail and I never received a call back. Since the Master bedroom was so cold, my father-in-law ended up sleeping on the couch in the living room area (where it was the warmest) and my mother-in-law had to sleep in one of the spare bedrooms (which was also cold, but not as cold as the Master bedroom). The little heat that was coming out of the vents in the room my daughters and niece slept in seemed to have stopped putting out heat through the night and their room was ice cold that next morning. Fortunately the next day during regular work hours, I was able to get a hold of management and they addressed the heat issues by providing multiple space heaters and had an HVAC guy come out and he fixed an issue with the HVAC unit. After the HVAC was fixed, the heat in certain rooms still wasn't strong, but it was better than no heat. We also noticed that there were some outdoor lights that were not working in the front and the back of the home; which was unfortunate because we weren't able to go out on the deck at night time because there was no lighting. One other disappointment was that the firepit that we were planning on making smores with was moved from the firepit area into the garage. Other than those problems that we experienced, the place was great! It is very well taken care of and has alot of amenities that we enjoyed... From the hot tub, to the pool table, all of the games provided, fireplaces, tvs in every room etc. I'd definitely recommend this place (provided that the issues that we experienced are remedied).

Gorgeous view of the lake in a larger homesite than most I’ve experienced at Deep creek. House was super cozy and a great layout with most living spaces open on main floor. I liked the tucked away master. There was also a soaking tub I was not expecting. Close to shopping, groceries and restaurants. Pool membership was a nice bonus as we stayed in the winter and it was a fun activity for us to get out and do.
