Lake access and dock are located at the Waterside at Wisp community docks along Marsh Hill Road. Please note that docks are only guaranteed from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

I have been renting houses in Deep Creek for twenty years and Lazy Bear Lodge is at the top of the list! The kitchen is hands down the best supplied I have ever seen. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable as were the bathrooms. The living areas were inviting and perfect for family gatherings. We hope to stay here again in the future.

The house is perfect, plenty of amenities, and only 25 minutes from Oakland. It's a short walk from the docks since they're almost next door! The community dock has a handful of spots for vessels, the grocery store down the road is well stocked, and the second floor bedroom even has a steam shower!It's a great house to take it one day at a time and the parking works if you work it. Really flip through the welcome binder to find out all the best places to visit for food, sightseeing, and fellowship.

Very nice place. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room. Was really nice that each couple had their own bathroom. Was told the bed in the master bedroom sinks in the middle making it a little uncomfortable to sleep in. Propane tanks were empty, but promptly received a refund for the cost. I would highly recommend the place.

The house is beautiful. Tons of room for multiple families. Lots of wildlife in the yard - deer, bear, groundhogs, squirrels, and birds. The steam shower on the first floor is awesome. The kitchen has all the necessary amenities. We thought the refrigerator was small for the quantity of people capable of staying. The house had some electrical issues, and the first-floor king size bed was HORRIBLE. The house was clean except for the ceiling fans. They had so much dust you could not use them. Unfortunately, our family would not stay there again due to the cleanliness and electrical issues.

The set up of the house was great as well as the location and the fire pit. After seeing a mouse in my room and the mouse droppings I was grossed out. The beds need mattress pads and covers and the comforters could use washing.

The Lazy Bear Lodge is charming. The home is well built, beautifully decorated, and well equipped. The layout was perfect for our needs sleeping ten comfortably. The windows permitted plenty of sunlight during the day, and the wood-burning fireplace on the main level was a source of roaring fires each evening. The firepit on the upper deck and hot tub were special touches we enjoyed. This home truly embraces the feel of a rustic lodge with all the creature comforts in place. We would definitely return to the Lazy Bear Lodge!

An incredible location to spend our Christmas holiday…perfect for what we like to do as a family. We used to go to another location, about an hour and a half east of Deep Creek, however, over a period of time, it became clear, the establishment wasn’t interested in providing a continued high level of quality service and product. My family and I have rented 4 different houses since 2020, all very nice…however, ”The Lazy BearLodge”, is our favorite!

Beautiful home. Very close to all of the parks, attractions and eateries. The home itself has some wonderful features including a steam room, two fire places and pool table. Our little family of 4 stayed there for the weekend and it checked all the boxes for us. Some feedback to help future customer experiences at the home - the master bedroom bed is VERY bad and needs replaced. Hot tub lid is quite cumbersome and there is no Keurig and coffee pot is cracked and we did not deem it safe for use so coffee options were limited. Anyway, none of the above were dealbreakers by any means and simply suggestions for improvement to enhance future customer experiences.

Everything about the lazy bear was incredible. The perfect place for a extended weekend getaway. However, there were a couple of flaws. The master bed on the middle level desperately needs replaced. The leather couch in the room was more comfortable than the bed. & the hot tub though a nice bonus, could probably be upgraded as well. However, the lazy bear is incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated, & stocked with basic needs, what I never noticed in the description is one of the showers is also a steam room. Which was AWESOME. I would definitely stay at the lazy bear again but would opt to sleep on the floor before that bed again lol.

Decent amenities for price and worked for our needs, but some beds are in desperate need of replacing and house smells of animal urine, especially on lower level.

Our group had a nice time at this property. The price reflects the quality. The house was very clean and the kitchen was great! With new beds, flooring, and general cleaning on the outside of the home, it would be awesome. Great selection of board games to play. Our boat trailer could not be parked in this driveway. We have a Mastercraft that has a bar under the trailer to protect the prop. With the angle of the drive and road, this bar scraped on the road so badly that the trailer couldn’t enter the driveway. Railey allowed us to park at their lot.

Such an amazing!! The place might even be better than the pictures depict :). There was plenty of room for people to spread out and relax. The weather was crappy but we enjoyed the indoor fireplace. Would recommend to anyone! (Reviewed on Airbnb)

Nice Family Times

The house is large enough to accommodate an extended family. It has nice areas to congregate, such as the family room, dining room, kitchen and decks. It is not a far walk to lake access, but was a bit steep.

Overall this place was great! It was clean, nicely furnished and impressive amenities, i.e. steam room, gas fire pit and grill. Our family of 9 had plenty of space to spread out. Minor complaints were the bed pillows in the Master Bed were very flat. Also, the dock for this place is a little bit of a hike from the home but I believe the description states that it is not on the property. Just be aware of that if you need use of the dock. All in all we loved Lazy Bear Lodge and even got to see an actual lazy bear one evening when pulling out of the driveway!

Lazy bear lodge lived up to its description. With no shortage of spacious bedrooms, we had no issues sleeping a large group. Kitchen is large allowing for plenty of room to cook and the gathering spaces were key. The house is a short walk to the docks which was perfect for a lunch break when on the boat all day.

Great property with just a few

This property was beautiful and peaceful. It is surrounded by woodlands, so although it's very close to the lake, it feels somewhat secluded and private. There is plenty of space in the home. Two master bedrooms make this the perfect place to stay if you're traveling with more than one family. There is a pool table, fireplace, and wet bar on the lower level, which makes it a great gathering spot within the house. The only negatives are that the hot tub leaks and has significant electrical issues. It seems the rental company/owners are aware of this situation, as there were instructions to reset the breaker for the tub and a hose nearby to keep the water level adequate. In addition, the bed in the main level master was extremely uncomfortable and sagged in the center. After some investigation, we discovered the horizontal metal supports under the bed were broken beyond repair. There was a great need for a deep clean within the home - there was thick dust on several furnishings, including the headboard of the beds, mantles, and shelves. Other than these small issues, this property was great for our vacation.

The location and amenities offered are popular among guests and for good reason! That being said, there is always room for improvement, and we appreciate your feedback regarding the hot tub, bed in the main bedroom, and housekeeping. While our maintenance team is always happy to lend a hand with issues, such as hot tub errors, we are unable to replace any amenities without homeowner approval. With that said, the homeowner has been made aware of the temporary solution put in place (instructions left by our maintenance team) and has a new hot tub motor scheduled for delivery in the coming weeks. We’ve not previously received comments regarding the bed in the main bedroom and will have our maintenance team to the home to address this ASAP. Thanks for alerting us to this! Finally, we regret to learn that the housekeeping did not meet your expectations. It’s very important to us that our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable stay, and we apologize that this priority was not reflected in the home’s cleanliness. We’ll be sure to have our housekeeping team show Lazy Bear Lodge a bit of extra love to ensure the comfort of our future guests. This house was amazing and looks like the owners have taken very good care of it over the years. Each bedroom is decorated in a tasteful and rustic way and the living room is cozy and inviting. Even though its only 2 miles to Wisp you feel like you are out in the woods and aren't right next door to any neighbors. It also has all the amenities and an awesome steam shower! I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking to get away from it all! Love it!
