Lazy Moose is the perfect home for your next getaway! As you enter this log style home, you will receive a warm welcome from the resident mounted moose head above the fireplace. For days and nights in, relax front of the fire, in the hot tub, or the lower den area shooting a game of pool or having a movie marathon. Looking for a quieter place to relax? Head up to the loft area above the garage for some peace and quiet or send the kids up there to hang out while making dinner in the fully equipped kitchen. With 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathroom, there is a place for everyone! Located just over a mile from Deep Creek Lake State Park and a short drive to a bunch of other adventure-filled activities like the four-season Wisp Resort, ASCI, and local shops and restaurants, you’ll never run out of things to do! With the sunrise and sunset visible over Deep Creek Lake through the great room windows, you’ll have nothing but beautiful views all day, all year, and no matter what season you visit! So, pack up your family, friends, or anyone else and make your way to Lazy Moose!

This home comes with free access to the Community Aquatic Recreation Center (CARC)! This fitness and wellness complex, located in the central Deep Creek Lake area, offers a modern gym and a full-size indoor pool. The free CARC membership is available to all guests in the home for the duration of your stay, up to the home’s full occupancy.

if you're looking for a cabin that will hold a large family this is clearly the best choice for peace and quiet-my the first time bringing the entire family and definitely won't be our last. we had an issue with the oven and the response was quick and professional!

Great cabin in Deep Creek that fit our large group perfectly! The listing photos are accurate and the house was as described. We found the kitchen to be a bit small/ill-equipped to handle our group of 14, but everything else was great. Amazing views and communicative host. Would stay again but with a smaller group!

Our 2 teenage granddaughters loved the loft and spent most of the time there. The game room was a lot of fun with the pool table. The mighty moose was amazing to look at. The adults enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the evening. This was our family Thanksgiving get-together and we had a great time watching football, playing games and enjoying the home.

We always enjoy an annual trip in the fall to Deep Creek for the Autumn Glory Festival. Our stay at the Lazy Moose (instead of camping in single cabins) allowed the whole family to be together and enjoy our family time. The kids loved the moose 🫎 and all the space in the home allowed the adults to have their own ‘space’, while bringing everyone together for meals and downtime, if desired. The location was perfect for us as we love hiking. A quick ride to Swallow Falls and Rock Maze trails provided for enough activity to wear out children, adults and our dog! We had a rainy day and temperatures dropped so the indoor fireplace was a bonus. The pool table kept adults entertained for a bit too. We enjoyed our stay!

The Lazy Moose was a great house for a week family vacation! The unique layout provided plenty of room for whole family time but also plenty of rooms for alone time. Some things such as the fridge and dishwasher could be updated and the overall look of the landscaping and cleanliness outside could be improved. Overall, it was a great rental and I would use it again!

We had such a wonderful time at the Lazy Moose! The house was beautiful and the view was just breath taking! We traveled with little ones who ooh-ed and ahh-ed at the wonderful Moose above the fireplace -- it was a big hit! The wood burning stone fireplace was fantastic and the gas fireplace in the basement was cozy too. The pool table and jacuzzi were great. We are VRBO landlords as well for a beach property so we appreciated the easy check-in process and wonderful follow up. Our only constructive remarks have to do with the kitchen ~ we don't think the refrigerator is cooling the way it should and some sort of storage piece to the left of the stove would go along way to add additional counterspace and storage. Everything about the house was great! It was exactly as expected. The cabin aesthetic was beautiful and looked great in photos. One thing we wish we knew beforehand was that they have a Keurig and an air fryer! Also we wish it came stocked with dish soap and toiletries. Overall we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

Lazy Moose--Great Family Retreat!

Our family of 11 truly enjoyed our time away at Lazy Moose. The management folks were responsive when we had a small plumbing issue. The only small issue was that the access to the lake was a bit difficult and w3e had to cross a busy road. We made it work, however. The house is well-appointed and had so many amenities that we could have left some of our kitchen items at home! We are used to some rentals being sparse in the kitchen department. But Lazy Moose had lots to offer! When we entered the house, we were all impressed with the lovely decor and beautiful construction of this home. The wood warm and beautifully done. The view was lovely and the weather was spectacular. We even enjoyed an outdoor fire one evening! Although the loft was not completely private, our group was able to make it work. Some of us had to work and the internet proved competent to handle the traffic. We rented a pontoon boat one afternoon (FunTime--great group!) and celebrated an 84th birthday at Dutch's Silver Tree--HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We ate on the terrace overlooking the lake and it was a magical evening. Thank you to the owners of Lazy Moose for sharing this oasis with us! Lovely!

We had a wonderful time at the Lazy Moose. The home was spacious, clean, and very well kept. HVAC guys had to come out to repair the ac/heat system but they were very, prompt, cordial, and thorough. They also came out to repair the gas fireplace downstairs but they did not have the right parts. Again, no worries. There was another firplace upstairs. We normally like to be lakefront but this home had beautiful lake views

This home was great for my family and 2 dogs. The back deck and pool table were a great time for entertainment. The kids loved the loft area. Although the home could use some updates, it didn't hinder our stay!

We had an amazing time at the Lazy Moose! The house was perfect for our group of 8, enough beds for everyone and enough space that it didn’t feel like we were on top of each other! One draw back during our stay is the house heat and stove stopped working! It turned out the propane needed to be refilled, which the management company got done the same day. Would rent again in warmer weather!

We found the Lazy Moose to be very welcoming with plenty of space for our group of ten to spread out. It’s a wonderful log cabin in a great location with lake views. Our only complaints would be that the kitchen could use a refresh of some of the cooking equipment and the hot water heater struggled to keep up at times. We would definitely stay again though!
